Chikuma

Born into a family of a Kyoto · Kimono shop, Takema liked to draw portraits since childhood, so he dreamed of a cinema poster artist.
Aiming to become a writer himself from an exchange with a yuzen writer who he met during the practice of a family business, he left the world of kimonos due to lack of demand. Once requested to draw a picture of a deceased pet, he could not forget the tears of that friend who saw the finished work and thought, “If my picture leads to happiness of people, I will continue to draw.”
